The gang stays overnight at Lester's home where Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley sleep in a bunk bed and Fred Jones sleeps on the couch. I use full-length as only the loosest of terms Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders only clocks in at under 70 minutes - usually full-length features clock in for twenty or so minutes longer. In real life the place would soon be overrun by National Enquirer reporters, hordes of curious onlookers and the like! Shaggy and Scooby are brokenhearted, but a box of Scooby Snacks helps them forget about their sorrows. A sandstorm comes up and Shaggy Rogers makes a wrong turn onto government property. . Kids will probably find it disconcerting to see adults talking like their favourite cartoon characters, so don't spoil it for them.

The aliens try to examine the two, but Scooby is able to free them. The film was produced by Warner Bros. Yeah, right, as if that would work. Ninety minutes running time would have been really stretching the premise thin. The chef, Sergio, says that a month earlier local cattle vanished without a trace and a lot of people moved away. Scooby and Shaggy fall into a deep sleep on the roof and are abducted.
Released on October 3, 2000, it is the third direct-to-video film based on the Saturday morning cartoon series by Hanna-Barbera. The lowest-priced item in unused and unworn condition with absolutely no signs of wear. Scooby and Shaggy gets chased around a bit - and there you have the makings of a classic episode. There'd probably be even someone selling hot dogs at a stand! Eventually, Crystal and Amber reveal themselves to be the actual aliens from a planet 20 light years away. Y ou have to be of a certain age to appreciate this sort of thing.

This is a movie for kids and not really one you can watch with them. Shaggy and Scooby immediately fall in love with them, and when they meet up with Fred and the girls at the local diner, the two of them are still so love struck after seeing Crystal and Amber that they are not even hungry, which shocks Fred, Daphne, and Velma. The plot already feels padded at 70 minutes, but not as padded as the recent Piglet's Big Movie I had to endure. Events move along at a quick pace and the whole thing is easier to endure than any of the countless straight-to-video sequels churned out by Disney.

While Scooby-Doo and Shaggy stay with the van, the rest of the gang enters a local diner to get directions. The monsters are also never real, but usually some guy in a mask whose identity we guessed from a list of possible suspects. They run into the diner in panic, claiming to have seen aliens. Unlike the previous films, in spite of the grimmer atmosphere, it also had a lighter tone since the real monsters are the good guys and the disguised humans are the primary antagonists. Some bits might be scary for very small kids, but the tone is light throughout.

The plots are always the same: smugglers usually want to scare people off from their base of operations by pretending to be ghosts or aliens or whatever. He also claims to have pictures, so the gang goes to his house to see them. It was the last film to feature Mary Kay Bergman as the voice of Daphne before her death in November 1999 and was dedicated to her memory. Some of the voices are noticeably different though and I? Shaggy, Scooby, Crystal and Amber also investigate the cave in the canyon and find the gang and try to rescue them.
